Just a pop in

I'm watching coverage of Pope Benedict leaving Rome for the last time. Wow. I'm just in awe of the enormity of this. I have so many memories of Rome. I hope our UD students currently in Rome are taking this historic event in, savoring every moment. (My university has a Rome study abroad program where students spend a semester in Rome their sophomore year).

I wish I could write eloquently enough to explain how all of this affects me, but I don't have the words, or the computer (I'm blogging on my phone) to do so. I was trying to catch a glimpse of our campus as the helicopter approached Castel Gondolfo, but no luck. I vividly remember being at Castel Gondolfo during our Rome semester.
